In English learning process, adequate vocabulary is needed, since vocabulary is the important aspect in English learning process. For instance, in speaking, if we do not have enough vocabulary we cannot speak a lot. In line with speaking, in reading, we can probably read well but we do not understand meaning of the text, if we do not have enough vocabulary. In listening, we will not know the meaning of what the speakers say if we do not have enough vocabulary, etc.rnBesides, the learners are not only demanded by having enough vocabulary in the learning process but also must be supported by good teaching technique. On the other words, teacher plays an important role in determining the success of students’ English learning. The importance of teaching English vocabulary depends on the teacher’s strategies. Teacher’s strategy can also help almost all of students to get involved in teaching and learning process. Teacher needs to learn new strategies especially in teaching English vocabulary.rnBased on the reason above the researcher conducted the research about teaching vocabulary through pantomime game. The researcher did research on the seventh grade students at MTs Madinatul Ulum Bojonegoro. The problems are: (1) How is the implementation of teaching vocabulary through pantomime game for the seventh grade? (2) Is there any significant difference for the students’ achievement in the vocabulary mastery after being taught through pantomime game? (3) What are the weaknesses and strengths of teaching vocabulary through pantomime game?. The purpose of the study was to find out the improvement of students’ achievement in the vocabulary mastery after taught through Pantomime game. Related to the problems above the researcher used an experimental research with the one group pretest and posttest design. The pretest was given before treatment and the post test was given after treatment. Both of them were in the form of multiple choices and matching words.rnThe results of T test indicate that teaching vocabulary through pantomime game for the seventh grade is effective in improving students’ vocabulary mastery. It is proved by 1,70 < 12,11 > 2,46. Thus, teaching vocabulary through pantomime game for the seventh grade students gives significant improvement for the students’ vocabulary mastery.rn
