This study aims at identifying the correlation between the students' learning orientation and their motivation for achievement at PGMIStudy Program of STAIN Tulungagung. The subjects are 70 students of PGMI who meet the following criteria: active students in academic year 2010/2011, aged 20-23. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The data collection is using questionnaire. The finding shows that there is a positive and significant correlation between the students' learning orientasion and their motivation for achievement. The computation shows the value of Pearson correlation is +557**, while the sig. Value [1 tailed] is 0.0000 [p0.05]. As the result, the hypothesis saying that there is a positive and significant correlation between the students' learning arientation and their motivation for achievement is accepted.ifa.
