al Attas is famous as a Moslem intelectual who understand multydiciplin of sciences such as theology, philosophy and metaphysic, history, culture and education. In this article we will describe al Attas's thought about the concept of Islamic education that consist of his overviews on metaphysic, science, definition and goal of education, curriculum and the method of education. In brief, on education he argued that education to be defined as the plantation of adab or ta'dib, because the meaning of adab more comprehensived and inclueded in 'ilm, ta'lim and tarbiyah.al Attas said that goal of education should be religious. In order to archieve the goal of Islamic education, curriculum, and the method of education are very important role, beside that the curriculum maker should understand the problem of metaphysic and sciences. dopink.
