The interpretation method held so far by the ulemas is viewed incapable of responding human's problems in this era. On the contrary, hermeneutics is seen as an appropriate method to understand the Qu'an in this modern era. The effects of this area manifold. The first is that it deconstruct the previous [salaf] ulemas. The second, it deconstructs the epistimological building of the previous ulemas. The third, it caused the infiltration of the western theories into the Islamic epistimology. The fourth, it blurs the belief to the values which have been viewed as absolute so far. And the fifth is that it treats the Qur'an as something which is not more than the sayings and thoughts of a perfect man.het.
